Native to Colorado, I live in Oklahoma (for now) with my husband, daughter, two dogs, and one grumpy cat. But I have never settled in one place for long, having lived in California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas in the last decade. I have been writing as long as I can remember and I always want to feature strong female leads. But strength does not always come from swinging a sword or having earth-shattering powers. It can come from softness in the face of adversity or love in the wake of heartbreak. I hope that my books can help to understand certain trauma, how different people heal, and how you can help. I also hope that if you have experienced hardship or trauma similar to my characters, that my books can be a release or catharsis. (Because we believe women in my worlds.)

My stories are a safe space for people who believe in human rights. I support the queer community. It is our duty to make a concerted effort to read diversely because publishing still favors white men and as consumers, we have the power to change that. Also trans women are women. If you disagree, disrespectfully, these books will not be for you.
